More law breaking …….

Secretary to the Ceylon Teacher’s union said , the Govt. is transferring North Central and Central Teachers unlawfully without the approval of the Teachers’ transfer Boards.

Theses transfers are politically motivated and are aimed at paying off Govt. ‘ s grudges against those who are not pro Govt. Because these transfers could not be effected immediately prior to Presidential elections owing to the election law prohibition the Govt. is  now giving transfers hastily before the upcoming General elections .

Some transfers are done to help Teachers who are pro Govt. to go to National Schools  and to suit their convenience,. while others are being politically victimized , being transferred to remote and inconvenient areas , he added

 The Secretary stated that they would be compelled to go for litigation if this does not stop.
